Jacksonville Chamber office closed due to interior flooding

JACKSONVILLE, July 28, 2014— The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce office, located inside the Norman Activity Center is closed today due to interior flooding which took place over the weekend, according to Chamber Director Peggy Renfro.

The flooding was a result of a pipe which came loose on a small water heater, allowing the water to run into the office over the weekend.

According to Renfro, a neighbor entering the Norman Activity Center on Sunday, noticed water coming into the center and contacted the City of Jacksonville. The City of Jacksonville then notified the Chamber.

Clean-up is underway today in an effort to reopen the office as quickly as possible.
