JACKSONVILLE, July 6, 2013—The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce will hold its 9th annual Children’s Back-to-School Fair on Thursday, August 1, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Norman Activity Center, 526 East Commerce.
This event is to help parents and families get ready for school. School supplies and used "standardized dress" clothes will be given away to Jacksonville residents only. There will be exhibitors promoting health, safety, and after school activities with tips from professionals and basic entertainment for fun. Admission to the Fair is free.
Those wishing to help may donate money or basic school supplies. Supplies needed are: spiral notebooks, plastic folders with brads, crayons, scissors, Elmer's glue, highlighters, blue and black pens, pink erasers, both wide ruled and college ruled notebook paper and Kleenex. "Kid friendly" door prizes to raffle throughout the event are also needed.
