YourEastTexas.com is pleased to bring you a weekly update from the Money Pit to assist you in your Home Improvement endeavors.
This week’s Home Improvement answer: Dry solution for avoiding rot.
To keep rot away, make sure all plumbing fixtures are properly caulked and sealed, and keep an eye out for water staining, leaking, and mildew in the bathroom, under sinks, and in the attic. If you have a raised foundation, check under the house periodically for leaks and moisture, and use a plastic vapor barrier on the crawlspace floor to slow soil dampness from getting into your home.
The Money Pit is a weekly radio show which can be heard on KNET 95.7FM/1450AM, on Saturdays, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
