This week’s Home Improvement answer: Winter Yard Work

If you want to prune down your spring workload, consider getting some yard work accomplished in the winter. Winter is the prime time to prune fruit trees and rose bushes, right before they start to bud. Remove any crossing canes, thin the branches, and finish by spraying the plants with dormant oil. By getting some yard work done in the winter, you're sure to have a shorter checklist come springtime.

The Money Pit is a weekly radio show which can be heard on KNET 95.7FM/1450AM, on Saturdays, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
