Franston ISD Board selected Region 7 Board of the Year

PALESTINE, July 22, 2013--Frankston ISD School Board has been selected as the Region 7 Board of the Year. Region 7 is comprised of 98 districts, one of the largest In the state.

Frankston Superintendent Keith Murphy says it is an incredible honor to be recognized and honored this way. He believes the Board’s selection was due, in large part, to their focus on the children they serve. “I think that what they do is that they always remember what’s important – and that’s our kids,” said Murphy. “Every decision we make is based on what’s in the best interest of our children.”

The Board will be recognized as one of the top 20 Honor Boards at the TASA/TASB conference in Dallas, in September. Honored Boards will have the potential to move into the top 5, and eventually to be voted Texas School Board of the Year.
