FRANKSTON, June 18, 2014— A Frankston pharmacy break-in adds to the growing list of pharmacies in Anderson, Smith, and Henderson counties which have been broken into or burglarized over the past several weeks.
On Friday morning, around 4:00 a.m., a break-in occurred at Maxwell Pharmacy, located at 626 Texas 155, in Frankston. According to Frankston Police Chief Darren Goodman, police are viewing evidence – including pictures and video taken from the store’s security cameras – in an attempt to identify the suspects. Anderson County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation.
According to Chief Goodman, the suspects in these burglaries commit the crime as a way of obtaining prescription medication.
“Obviously they’re looking for free narcotics,” said Chief Goodman. “They’re breaking in and taking anything they can get their hands on.”
Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call Frankston Police Department at 903-876-2400, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office at 903-729-6068, or Crime Stoppers at 903-729-8477 (TIPS).
