FRANKSTON, April 4, 2014—Frankston ISD is continuing their search for a new Superintendent. The Board appointed Nicci Cook to the position of Interim Superintendent following the resignation of Keith Murphy, who resigned to accept a position with Melissa ISD.
According to Cook, the Board met in March and hired Arrow Educational Services to assist with the search. Applications are being accepted until May 2. During May, second and third-round interviews will be conducted, and the Board hopes to be able to present a lone finalist by the end of May.
Cook says she does not wish to pursue the position in a permanent way, but is ready to assist during the search for a new Superintendent.
“My goal is just to finish out the year strong, and help the district achieve the goals we set, and then look forward to working with the new Superintendent,” said Cook.
KYYK’s Gary Richards spoke with Cook about the process. Click below for more.
