Four arrested in two unrelated incidents involving burglary, drugs

ANDERSON CO., July 30, 2013--Four people have been arrested in two unrelated incidents, according to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor.

Three people were arrested after being caught in the process of stealing a safe from a home in southeastern Anderson County.

The suspects were reported by a caretaker in the home, who happened to be an off-duty police officer. The caretaker called police, and then detained the suspects until police could arrive.

The thieves’ efforts would have been in vain, as the safe only contained the cremated remains of the homeowner’s spouse.

Police arrested:

Jessica Lyn Frederick, age 30

Billy Wayne Arnold, age 41

All three were charged with Burglary of a Habitation, with bonds set at $50,000 each. Fredrick was also charged with Resisting Arrest.

In addition, police have arrested Paul Edward Hart after a traffic stop revealed Methamphetamine. Hart, a 42 year-old Grapeland man, reportedly told police that he was delivering the Methamphetamine to a residence in Grapeland.

Hart was arrested and charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
