Emily, the featured Wednesday's Pet

The Anderson County Humane Society and KNET and YourEastTexas.com have teamed up to help the pets at the Humane Society find homes. Every Wednesday morning on The Mayor in the Morning radio show on KNET, we feature a new pet.

Emily is a small, female mixed-breed dog, possibly Terrier and Min Pin. She is approximately 1 ½ years old, and was surrendered to the shelter on April 9.

Emily is full grown and weighs about 15 pounds. She is black and tan with a little bit of white coloring. She has pointed ears, a long tail and long legs.

She appears to be house broken. She does not show any dog aggression, but is not very playful with other dogs.

She is very dainty and gentle, and content to sleep in a dog bed all night, only getting up to explore a couple of times.

Emily will acknowledge when she is called, but is a little shy and will not approach until she warms up. She appears to be very low maintenance, rides well in her crate, and does not cry or whine to get out.
