Eagle Railcar Services granted tax abatement by Anderson Co. Commissioners Court

ANDERSON CO., October 30, 2013—Recently, the Anderson County Commissioners Court approved a five-year tax abatement agreement with Eagle Railcar Services, a railcar repair center in Elkhart.

The abatement will help with a $1.1 million business expansion. The addition is expected to create 30 additional full-time jobs.

“It’s going to help them; it’s going to help the school district because they’re going to get another million dollars added to their tax roles in Elkhart,” said Anderson County Judge Robert Johnston. “It’s just going to be a win for everybody.”

KYYK’s Gary Richards spoke with Judge Johnston about the abatement and an update on the Juvenile Detention Facility. Click below to hear more.
