DSHS urges flu vaccinations

PALESTINE, October 4, 2013—The Texas Department of State Health Services is urging the public to get their flu vaccine while they are available.

According to Texas Department of State Health Services’ Chris Vandeusen, people should obtain the vaccine from their regular healthcare provider. If one does not have a regular healthcare provider, they may obtain the vaccine from Community Vaccinators (such as pharmacies), or check with their local Health Department for locations.

Texas Department of State Health Services operates a clinic in Tyler, located at 1517 W. Front Street. The number for the Tyler clinic is 903-533-5264. There is also a clinic in Palestine, locate at 330 E. Spring Street, Suite D. The number for the Palestine clinic is 903-729-1116.
