TYLER, June 24, 2013-- The June 29 Downtown Tyler ArtWalk will feature 20 artists and artist groups, dancers and musicians from 4 to 8 p.m., in the downtown area.
“We have acrylic, oil, photography, fiber art, jewelry, charcoals and even whelk shell art for the public to enjoy,” said Beverly Abell, City of Tyler Main Street Department leader. “Given the warm temperatures, most of our artists will be located indoors, but, we will have several performers on the T.B. Butler Plaza throughout the evening, despite the heat.”
Ballroom dancing, Zumba and line dancing will take place on the Plaza, as well as Ballet Folklorico. FLY KiDS will perform its popular routines, including dance mobs throughout the ArtWalk venue. In addition, the Downtown Tyler Film Festival committee will show favorite films from past festivals in the Gallery Main Street conference room.
