Donations being collected today for citizens of West

PALESTINE, April 18, 2013—Last night, a huge explosion rocked the small town of West, Texas. Palestine Regional Medical Center sent a team of medical personnel in the AMBUS to assist. On top of the many people injured, homes and businesses have been leveled, leaving many in this community left with nothing.

A collection drive is being held today with Nina Tatum at 402 E. Kolstad Street. A truck will depart Palestine this evening and transport the items to West. The following items are needed:

  • Diapers
  • Baby Wipes
  • Formula
  • Bottles
  • Dog Food (Animals found are being taken to a safe shelter)
  • Cat Food
  • Blankets
  • Clothing (all sizes)
  • Water
  • Juice
  • Canned goods
  • Money (Checks can be made to American Red Cross, receipts provided)
  • Snacks

The public is encouraged to help this town and its people. Community members are encouraged to bring anything they believe will help.
