ANDERSON CO., November 14, 2013— Each year, the Crisis Center of Anderson and Cherokee Counties hosts a Christmas party for child victims of family violence or child abuse. Many local businesses have helped in the past, and the Crisis Center is again asking for help to ensure these kids have a Christmas. For many children, the gifts they receive from the Crisis center are the only celebration they will be a part of.
The Crisis Center is asking local businesses and organizations to help fill wish lists again this year. Anyone interested in helping may contact the Crisis Center office at 903-586-9118.
Those wishing to participate may take a few lists and fill them, or make a donation to the effort. The Crisis Center kids’ Christmas Party will be held on December 11. All gifts should be at either office by December 5, to allow time for sorting, organizing and wrapping. There is no need to wrap donated gifts, as the Crisis Center has “elves” to do the wrapping.
