RUSK, July 12, 2013--The Cherokee County Public Health Department would like to remind parents to have children vaccinated as soon as possible in order to beat the back-to-school rush. Immunizations will be available for eligible children at Rusk Civic Center on July, 23. Parents are asked to bring all prior vaccination records for their child, or school notification listing which vaccines are needed.
Immunizations for eligible children are offered at a cost of $10 for one vaccine and $15 for two or more. Vaccines offered are Dtap, Tdap, Inactivated Polio Vaccine, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A, and Meningococcal.
Medicaid/CHIPS Superior and Amerigroup are accepted.
School children will need to be vaccinated before the first day of school. If a student is not vaccinated, entry into school may be delayed by school administration. Vaccines will be given until stock is depleted.
