TYLER, July 16, 2013— Join the fun at the Tyler Public Library, as they host animals from Caldwell Zoo on Friday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Programs are free of charge.
Members of the Ed-Zoo-Cational program at the Zoo will bring a salamander, a box turtle, a ferret and a hedgehog for the children to see up close and personal.
“All of the animals are ‘digging’ animals, which goes with the Summer Reading Club theme of ‘Dig into Reading,’” said Youth Services Librarian Linda Gray. “Since they will be at the Library, children can learn even more about these animals by reading a book about them.”
This visit from the Caldwell Zoo is the fifth and last Fab Friday event for the Summer Reading Club. Friday’s programs are designed for children age 5 and up, but all are welcome to attend. Children age 12 and under must have an adult present with them at all times. The Library is located at 201 S. College Ave.
For more information about the Summer Reading Club, visit the Library’s website www.TylerLibrary.com or contact them by phone at 903-593-READ (7323).
