TYLER, July 28, 2013— The City of Tyler’s Liberty Hall will feature Bob Schneider in concert on Friday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. Schneider has just released a new album “Burden of Proof” and is touring the U.S. to share this new music with long-time fans and first-time listeners.
Schneider has built his career as a working-class musician and, as a result, has many faithful followers all across the country with a fan-base epicenter in Austin. He has released numerous albums, hundreds of digital singles and fronted three bands simultaneously.
“Burden of Proof” features soaring strings, arranged by Schneider himself and performed by Austin's own Tosca String Quartet.
Schneider continues to explore his sound by using Auto-tune, but instead of applying the device to enhance and control his pitch, he employs the audio processor as its own instrument. “Burden of Proof” is full of slower, more mature tracks but there are a few songs that are energetic and up-beat, like the simplistic track "The Effect," which recalls Paul Simon's solo stylings, as well as the more electronically-influenced track on the album "John Lennon."
“We are incredibly fortunate to get Bob Schneider to perform for us again,” said Anne Payne, Liberty Hall manager. “Last time he came to Liberty, his show sold out and he was a huge crowd favorite!”
Opening for Bob Schneider are Dustin Becker and Heather Stalling from Blacktop Gypsy.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online for $20-25 at www.LibertyTyler.com or if there are any tickets still available, they will be sold at the door prior to the show for $30. For more information call Liberty Hall Manager Anne Payne at 903-595-7274.
