Back to School Party at Texas Forestry Museum slated Aug. 22

LUFKIN, August 17, 2013-- The Texas Forestry Museum invites you to come celebrate back to school at the museum’s annual Back to School Party. This Kid’s Club only event will be held on Thursday, August 22, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Come ready to enjoy pizza, cookies and lemonade. The celebration will include crafts, stories, prizes, a guest speaker from the Texas A & M Forest Service, and the first time appearance of Kid’s Club Mascot, Timber the Raccoon.

Participants will have fun while learning more about wildlife in East Texas. Those attending are encouraged to bring coins to help fill the truck for the annual fund “Drive.” Children who are not already Texas Forestry Museum Kid’s Club members may join at the event for just $5.00.

The Texas Forestry Museum, a private non-profit organization, is located at 1905 Atkinson Dr. in Lufkin. The Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except major holidays.
