Angelina County Crash
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) ...
Thousands of Vietnam veterans live here in east Texas. These veterans fought bravely for us and now they need our help. They need us to Back the Wall.
The Vietnam Veterans of America, Dogwood Chapter 991, would like to bring the 'Vietnam traveling wall' to Palestine's Texas State Railroad Park for Memorial Day, 2014.
Transporting the wall takes money and our veterans are asking for your assistance. Any donation, large or small, will help make the wall a reality for East Texas veterans.

A message from VVA-991 President, Allan Ayo:
"We would like to announce our fund drive to help pay and secure our sponsorship of the Vietnam Traveling Wall which is scheduled to come to Palestine, TX (Texas State Rail Road Park) in May of 2014. The Vietnam wall’s presence will coincide with our annual Memorial Day Ceremony held at the Rail Road Park. Several groups will be offering bake sales and raffled items with all the proceeds going to the Vietnam Wall Fund Drive. We are thankful to all for the help. Bringing the Vietnam Traveling Wall to our City and County is of the utmost importance, not only to our Vietnam Veterans in our area but all Veterans and Veterans groups in our six county area around Anderson County. Needless to say, it takes a large sum of money to get the Vietnam Wall transported, setup and secured for the approaching 2014 three-day event at Palestine depot of the Texas State Rail Road Park. We are asking for your assistance with donations both large and small, from any and all, private as well as businesses in our area to help us supplement the anticipated and proposed donations we have already been blessed to receive."
