'Young Frankenstein' begins March 28

TYLER, March 26, 2013--The City of Tyler’s Liberty Hall will present Mel Brooks, “Young Frankenstein” on the big screen Thursday, March 28, at 7 p.m.

A young neurosurgeon (Gene Wilder) inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein. When the diary of his grandfather is brought to him, he takes a leave of absence to examine the family castle. In the castle he finds a funny hunchback called Igor (Marty Feldman), a pretty lab assistant named Inga (Terri Garr) and an old housekeeper, frau Blucher (Cloris Leachman).

Young Frankenstein believes that the work of his grandfather is ridiculous and wants nothing to do with it. When he discovers the book where the mad doctor described his reanimation experiment, he suddenly changes his mind. Then due to an accidental switch, he implants an abnormal brain into his huge creation, which, as you can imagine, causes some problems, but things really get out of hand when the young Frankenstein's bride-to-be shows up at the castle for a visit.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and the movie starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online for $7 at www.LibertyTyler.com or at the door for cash only.
