'Girls Night Out' comedy show at Liberty Hall

TYLER, September 30, 2013--The public is invited, on Oct. 5, at 8 p.m., for the second annual “Girls Night Out” comedy show. Don’t bring the children! This event is for adults only. Come out and be ready to laugh until your sides hurt.

The feature comedian will be the hilarious Monique Marvez. This will be Monique’s third visit to Tyler to perform at Liberty Hall. She is originally from South Texas and now lives in San Diego. Her latest achievement is her hour-long show on Showtime this past Spring, “Not Skinny, Not Blonde."

Monique first exploded on the Miami comedy scene and started touring the country and eventually the world. She has appeared on HBO, Comedy Central, ABC, Montel Williams, PBS and numerous other television shows. She was nominated for an Alma Award for her Showtime special, “Latin Divas of Comedy,” and its YouTube clips have received more than a million hits. Monique appeared on “Snoop Dogg Presents The Bad Girls of Comedy” last March, which was produced as part of the 4th LOL Comedy Festival by LOL Comedy Inc.

Opening for Monique will be comedian Sheena Simmons. Sheena is a former Miss Texas USA contestant and holds the titles of Miss East Texas USA, Miss Wood County USA, and Miss Westlake USA. Nine years ago, Sheena says she aged out of the beauty pageant business and turned in her tiara for a microphone stand. She has been a stand-up comic ever since. Originally from Hawkins, Texas and now living in Austin, Sheena loves to perform.

There is not a bad seat in the house at Liberty Hall and there are only 300 available. Don’t miss out on this must see show. Tickets are on sale now at www.LibertyTyler.com for $17 or at the door for $23. Seating is reserved so get your tickets soon. Again, please only 18 and over.
