Len Redkoles/NHLI via Getty Images(TORONTO) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Friday that they've signed goalie James Reimer to a two-year contract.

Reimer was a restricted free agent and had an arbitration hearing set for Monday. Instead he receives a contract that will pay him $2.6 million next season and $2 million in 2015-16.

Reimer started last season as the Leafs starting goalie but lost the job to Jonathan Bernier. Reimer got the job back when Bernier suffered a season ending knee injury.

The 26-year-old Reimer is entering his fifth season with Toronto. Over his NHL career, he's posted a 65-48-15 record with a .914 save percentage, a 2.84 goals-against average and 11 shutouts.
