Sam Greenwood/Getty Images(PINEHURST, N.C.) -- Martin Kaymer shot another 5-under 65 Friday, putting him at a U.S. Open record 130 through 36 holes of play, as he continues to dominate at Pinehurst No. 2.

Kaymer is 10-under for the tournament leaving him six-strokes ahead of the next closest competitor, Brendon Todd.

"I played very well, I've had some good rounds in the past as well," Kaymer said. "But yesterday and today, especially today, the way I worked my way around the course ... I hit some smart shots. I didn't play too aggressive, and when I had a good number, I went for the flag and I didn't make many mistakes on the greens. I didn't 3-putt and made a lot of good putts."

Kevin Na and Brandt Snedeker are seven shots back. Phil Mickelson shot a 3-over 73 Friday and is 3-over for the tournament.
