(CINCINNATI) -- Reds third baseman Todd Frazier hit a two-run home run as Cincinnati (31-34) dodged the Los Angeles Dodgers (35-33) on Thursday, 4-1.
With a runner on first and nobody out, Frazier took the first pitch from Dodgers starting pitcher Zack Greinke (8-3) and sent it over the right field wall for his 14th homer of the year.
Greinke finished the day allowing two earned runs on four hits across six innings. He struck out three while walking just one.
Reds starting pitcher Alfredo Simon (9-3) went eight scoreless innings, scattering seven hits and no walks, while striking out five.
The Dodgers were without All-Star shortstop Hanley Ramirez because of a sore throwing shoulder.
