Christian Petersen/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- For the second time in two days, a former Miami Heat player has agreed to join the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Forward James Jones agreed to a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum ($1.4 million) with the Cavaliers, according to ESPN.com.

Jones played his last six NBA seasons with the Heat and is known as a 3-point specialist, hitting just over 40 percent from behind the arc for his career.

Jones, 33, joins Cleveland just a day after Mike Miller, who played with Jones for three seasons in Miami, agreed to a two-year contract with the Cavaliers. Both players reportedly headed to Ohio to play with their other former teammate, LeBron James.

Throughout his 11 NBA seasons, Jones has averaged 5.7 points and two rebounds per game.
