(CLEVELAND) -- Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley was diagnosed with a concussion Wednesday and likely won't play until Saturday.
Brantley suffered the injury Monday when he slid into second base trying to break up a double play in the Indians 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Brantley was taken out of the game and passed a concussion test. He was in Tuesday's lineup before further tests at the Cleveland Clinic revealed the concussion.
The 27-year-old Brantley is having a breakout season, hitting .323 with 11 home runs, 46 RBIs, 49 runs scored, nine stolen bases, and a .391 on-base percentage.
