(NEW YORK) -- While the defending Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat wait and wonder about their "Big Three", the world champion San Antonio Spurs continue to bring back the majority of their roster. Veteran forward Boris Diaw signed a new multi-year deal to return to the Spurs on Sunday.
Sources say that Diaw's new contract is for three years, and is worth an approximated $22 million. The forward took to Twitter on Sunday to announce the signing saying, "Hey Spurs fans, Good news i stay in san antonio for a few more years. Lets win it again. #gospursgo".
The 32-year-old averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 2013-14, helping the Spurs to a fifth NBA Championship.
