Sat, 26 Jul 2014 23:51:00 +0000

Jim McIsaac/Getty Images(COOPERSTOWN, N.Y.) -- The Baseball Hall of Fame cut player's eligibility from 15 to 10 years on Saturday.

The news on Saturday means Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, and Roger Clemens will have less time now to get their chance at being voted in.

McGwire's chances have been cut to two and the rest have eight more years.

Members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America for 10 consecutive years at any point are eligible to vote.

Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, and Frank Thomas will all be inducted on Sunday.  Managers Bobby Cox, Tony La Russa, and Joe Torre will join them.
