(PITTSBURGH) -- A 91-year-old woman's wish came true Friday night after attending her first prom at a Pennsylvania high school.
Enda Lamping was accompanied by her date, 92-year-old husband Joe, to Montour High School's annual event, joined by junior and senior students. The two didn't know they were attending prom until relatives surprised them Friday evening.
Kaitlin Dolak, Lamping's granddaughter, arranged the attendance after learning her grandmother wasn't allowed to go to prom in her youth. Originally, they planned to hold a prom-style party, but Dolak's mother suggested asking her alma mater.
While Lamping enjoyed the night's first dance with a Frank Sinatra song played in their honor, she quickly found that teenagers dance far differently than she and her husband did back in the day.
"Now they just stand in one place and shake it," she said.
The couple used to dance each weekend, Lamping added, "but not anymore because the legs don't carry" them. Still, it was a special night for the 91-year-old, including her husband.
"I think I got the best looking girl here," Joe said.
