(HARRISBURG, Pa.) -- Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane released on Monday an 18-month review of the Jerry Sandusky investigation, and noted "inexcusable" delays and "crucial missteps" in the case.
Sandusky was charged in connection with the sexual abuse of eight boys in November 2011. About three years before that, a criminal investigation into Sandusky's activity was launched. Kane called the one-year delay after the first victim came forward "inexcusable."
The review, conducted by former federal prosecutor Geoff Moulton, did not blame political motivations for the delay. He did call the stalled investigation "puzzling."
