(NEW YORK) -- If watching Lea Michele sing every week on your TV screen isn't enough, you can catch her on the big screen this weekend. She provides the voice of Dorothy in the new animated film Legends of Oz, in theaters starting Friday. And the Glee star says being part of the project is really a childhood dream come true.
"I watched The Wizard of Oz nearly every single night as a little girl, I had plastic ruby slippers that I wore every day and I thought I was Dorothy, so this is so exciting!" she tells ABC News Radio.
Legends of Oz is also part of Lea's bid to be the Queen of All Media. Not only does she star in Glee, but she recently released her debut album, Louder, and on May 20, her first book, Brunette Ambition -- a combination memoir, style guide and how-to tome -- arrives in stores.
"The fact that I have my album, my book, my TV show and an animated movie...I give myself, y'know, a lot of credit!" she laughs about the timing of all her projects.
Legends of Oz also features the voices of Bernadette Peters, Patrick Stewart, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, Jim Belushi, Megan Hilty and Martin Short.
