Truman Lamb, Anderson County Extension Agent, will present an outdoor lecture and demonstration entitled Pests, Problems, and Best Practices for Lawns on Tuesday, May 27, 5:30-7:00 pm, on the front lawn of the Museum for East Texas Culture.
Attendees are encouraged to bring samples from their yards of sickly grass, samples of troublesome weeds, and any lawn questions they might have. Also, please bring your own lawn chair. Refreshments will be served. There is no charge for the demonstation.
Mr. Lamb graduated from Sam Houston State University in Agriculture Science with a minor in plant science. Over the years, Truman has participated in numerous research projects and demonstrations dealing with lawn grasses. He has served as County Extension Agent for 27 years. Having served in Anderson County for 14 years, Mr. Lamb is very familiar with our area.
This lecture and demonstration is sponsored by the Anderson County Master Gardeners Association as a part of the Lynn Daniels Lecture Series. The Texas Master Gardener Program is a volunteer educational program conducted by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service and is open to people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, handicap, or national origin.
